Fitness Veterans Launch Go! Health with ReferAll-Backed Referral Software

Go! Health, a new health club in Woking, Surrey, is using the ReferAll platform to manage its referral programmes in collaboration with GPs, NHS services and local health practitioners.

Launched by industry veterans Phil Hall and Pete Evans, who together have more than 60 years of experience in fitness management and club operations, Go! Health is designed for adults looking for a supportive and personalised wellness journey.  The founders’ vision was to create a club that recaptures the original spirit of health clubs with service, support and social connection at the heart of the members experience.

“When I started my fitness career in the mid-1990s, there were lots of instructors on the gym floor providing comprehensive onboarding and regular reviews, as well as general engagement and support for members. That’s all gone now. If you want that level of service today, you have to pay for personal training, which is a real shame,” says Hall, whose former roles include Managing Director of the énergie Fitness franchise group and Senior Business Manager at Topnotch Health Clubs, where he spent 10 years. 

Go! Health is building trusted relationships with health partners, including GPs, the NHS, chiropractors, physiotherapists, nutritionists and local care homes to deliver structured interventions. One of the first initiatives supported through the ReferAll platform is a 12-week referral programme for cancer patients, developed with a local oncologist and lymphoedema consultant. Go! Health aims to create similar initiatives with other partners.

“The ReferAll system is critical to running these referral programmes successfully. Understanding improvements in the wellbeing of participants is central to our work and we wanted a simple, digital way to capture and track progress, such as increased physical activity levels, weight management and wellbeing. It’s just as important for us to focus on how people feel, which we can do via the platform’s validated mental health questionnaire (MH1 Global),” says Hall. 

Go! Health provides a holistic and personalised experience focusing on movement and fitness, recovery and sleep, mindset, nutrition and healthy eating, lifestyle coaching and social wellbeing in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment. The wide range of services include health screening, behaviour change coaching, body composition analysis, lifestyle consultations, cryotherapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, genetic and epigenetic testing – all of which are included in the membership fee, with no joining costs.

Designed and built by industry experts to reduce workloads for service managers, ReferAll’s customers in approximately 1,859 venues have managed almost 1.5 million referrals via the platform to date. From healthcare and community referrers to service managers, delivery teams and commissioners, the platform offers a 360˚ view of their service with data-driven insights that play a pivotal role in optimising wellbeing services and improving health outcomes.

The entrepreneurs are using the site in Woking to prove the Go! Health concept, with a view to expanding the model through franchising.

Hall says: “We aim to support every aspect of people’s lives, from strength and flexibility to mental health and recovery. Areas such as balance, flexibility and mobility are often the most overlooked components of health and wellbeing, yet they are essential for maintaining long-term health, independence and quality of life.”
