MoreLife is a national company specialising in weight management. It offers Tier 2 adult, children and family weight management services plus Tier 3 specialist adult weight management services. It signposts people towards a variety of local offerings that help people improve their health and wellbeing across Greater Manchester and Sheffield.
As contract manager for the Greater Manchester and Sheffield services, Rebecca Hellyer works with commissioners to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of contracts, as well as with stakeholders to build relationships and business growth, and identify gaps in local weight management and healthy lifestyle provision. She has been working with MoreLife since March 2020 and has been using ReferAll since the start of her role in the Junior PARs service in May 2022.
“I was initially a practitioner, before moving into a Service Lead role for our physical activity referral scheme in Manchester and then as a Contracts Manager for Greater Manchester and Sheffield Sheffield. MoreLife was already using ReferAll with Junior PARs when I started, and I think it’s one of the most user-friendly databases for administration that I have ever worked with. The team at ReferAll know and understand our contracts, and always recognise exactly what we need to make their software work for us,” says Hellyer.
“The whole team are just super helpful and so nice to work with. They always understand what our needs our, and Matt and John especially are always fast and responsive. With the Junior PARS service, we use ReferAll’s software to monitor attendance of children who come through the service, their weight pre- and post-attendance and other metrics that allow us to evaluate their progress.”
For Hellyer, the stand-out benefit of ReferAll is the ability to export data – both the quick reporting function and the more in-dept data export. “What I really love is quick reporting. It gives me a flash overview of that moment in time, so at any point I can be on top of the efficacy of service we’re offering,” says Hellyer. “It’s so helpful to see at a snapshot of how we’re working at any given time.
“The more in-depth data export is invaluable for reporting on KPIs and evidencing our success to commissioners. I can get a run-down of every person’s scores before they enter our service and again once they’ve completed it. I can look at demographic and age data, questionnaire responses or biometric or referral data. And I use this to report the overall success of service.”
To date, MoreLife has had 1,172 referrals to the service with 69 children and young people actively participating. In Q3 2024, Hellyer’s team received 91 referrals with a current uptake of 57% into service.

“There’s a big story to tell from the numbers,” adds Hellyer. “We match our figures with client case studies. Having clear numbers and a compelling story from a client who has seen positive change helps us share an honest insight of what’s happening within our service with commissioners.
“Without access to that data, reporting would be very difficult, especially with the volume of clients we see each year. The time ReferAll saves me cannot be underestimated.”
